Canadian 3 Step

Learn the Canadian 3 Step at Long-Steps

Long-Steps currently teaches the Canadian 3 Step periodically during our Adult Classes and by Private Tuition.

Long-Steps teaches the Canadian 3 Step according to Neville Boyd’s New Vogue Sequence Dancing and the Viennese Waltz.

Technical Details

Routine Length: 16 Bars
Time Signature: 2/4 or 6/8
Musical Selection: March
Tempo Range: 50 to 56 bars per minute.

Additional Information

The Canadian 3 Step may also be danced in 4/4 time when using more modern pieces of music (pop, rock, disco etc.). In this case the routine would be only 8 bars long, and have a scripted tempo range of 25 to 28 bars per minute. However, when using this style of music Long-Steps will often use a tempo range of 28 to 32 bars per minute.
